POETRY
The world of nature and how people relate to it has been the foundation of Josie's poetry since she began writing in 2018. Her personal experience with mental illness has fueled her passion to help others understand its darkness. Along with the Shadows of the Earth + Seasons of the Earth collection being a part of her own healing, she hopes to bring light to the painful fight of survival against suicide.

shadows of the earth
part one
We all know the Earth has a shadow, but only few understand the vast darkness it carries: a rotating story of survival... darkness, moments of warmth and light, then darkness again. Shadows of the Earth is a poetry collection written to expose the real, raw, and ugly backbone of mental illness through a lens of the natural world.
seasons of the earth
part two
Even the darkest shadow doesn’t have to live forever, because nothing withstands the ever-changing seasons. This sequel to Shadows of the Earth is a long-awaited story of hope written to document the transformational journey from seeking death to embracing life.
